The Brechin Mechanics' Institute is located in Brechin city centre at the junction of Castle street, Church Street and St Mary Street. It is on the main bus routes. There are numerous Car Parks located near by and within a few minutes walk. Disabled parking is available in the car park at the rear.
The building is run on a day-to-day basis, by the Brechin Mechanics' Trust Management Committee, all volunteers, on behalf of the community of Brechin. The Trust was constituted and given charitable status in 1981. There is a variety of rooms, or combination of rooms, available for hire, suitable for corporate, social and educatonal events. Rooms can be organised to seat from 20 persons to 200 persons. There are 2 kitchens for refreshments, buffets and banquets. This venue holds a highly commended certificate for efforts to make it disabled-user friendly with a lift, disabled access and toilet facilities.
